Training, training, training

On June 1st I plan to leave for Irun in the North op Spain. From there starts my 820 kilometer Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.

I was already training for the long walk. But since today on my new walking boots. Completely different way of walking in comparison to what I walked on the other shoes.

I did 13.17 kilometer in almost 3 hours. Including resting/looking around. I learned that I really need to listen to my body as around 2 hours I felt a bit tired. So meaning that I needed to rest for at least 15 minutes.

I borrowed the camelback from my son for the necessary water along the walk. I had to remind myself to take once in a while a zip.

I also found out that I need to use the coming 6 weeks to train good. Also with walking in the close by dunes with its ascents and descents.

For my buspicture/story followers, I must disappoint them. No more actual busstories for te time being.
